Goodrington Sands beach is one of the most popular beaches in Torbay; it is situated in Clennon Valley, and has a reel rural feel to it. Running alongside the beach is the steam railway which runs from Paignton to Kingswear on the River Dart; you can board the steam train here at Goodrington Station for a really spectacular journey along the coast.
Goodrington Sands is truly a great family beach, as it has a gently sloping sandy beach with a rock pool area which is great to explore with the kids. It has all the normal facility and many more with Go Karts, boating pond, pitch and putt, a children´s play area with all the latest swings, also Goodrington Park with a brewer´s fayre with plenty of outside seating almost on the waters edge, and last but not lease there is the Quaywest Water Park with slides & flumes, swimming pool and childrens toddler play areas.
At night the lighting display is awesome along the promenade with the reflections shimmering across the surf towards the beach.
