Saltern Cove and Oyster Cove which are just metres away from each other are situated just 500 metres from Goodrington Sands Beach; they are very popular with visitors and locals who can let their dogs play in the surf and on the beach surrounded by cliffs as a backdrop.
Saltern Cove and Oyster Cove are both sites of special scientific interest and are accessed via a field across a stone bridge over the steam train railway from the South West coast path.
